Seminars
Seminars are integrated condensed in the humanities department to introduce ideas that are relevant to today. Students learn about the state of the world through the:
- Environmental Concerns
- Humanitarian Issues
- International Struggles
- Social Justice
As the culminating seminar in 12th grade, students come to terms with the concept of social justice. The seminar's goal is for the students to develop a working definition of social justice that the students attune to and, in turn, strive towards. As part of this seminar, the student will:
- Learn about how systems of oppression have been institutionalized
- Be introduced to different plights for social justice locally, nationally, and internationally
- Know themselves to be agents of change
