Scholarships
When a person dies, all their deeds end except three:
a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge,
and a child who prays for them,”
- (Hadith, Muslim)
An AHS student scholarship provides a child with beneficial knowledge that lasts a lifetime, and can be established in the name of a loved one.
In 2020/2021, 60% of AHS students receive need-based financial aid. AHS believes that all children should have access to an excellent and Islamic education, and we strive to turn no student away because they cannot afford tuition.
You can earn the rewards of providing a student with beneficial knowledge that lasts a lifetime, for you or in the name of a loved one.
- Zakat payments: Zakat funds are used to cover tuition and fees for zakat eligible students.
- Contribute to the Alumni Scholarship Fund: With 50 alumni, a contribution of $1/day from each alum will sponsor 1 full scholarship for an AHS student in need.
- Contribute to the Alumni Families Scholarship Fund: With 50 alumni, a contribution of $5/day from each family will sponsor 5 full scholarships for AHS students in need.
- Honorary and Memorial Scholarship Funds: Make an annual sadaqa jariyah gift in any amount in the name of a loved one, or set up an endowment that sustains your gift from year to year
